Healthy Trucker, a division of NAL Insurance, has announced today that  it has partnered with Challenger to implement the Healthy Fleet Corporate Wellness program.

The program gives carriers the education and tools needed to help their owner/operators, company drivers and staff on the path to wellness. The program provides users an online health evaluation, a personalized fitness and nutrition plan, daily text tips, an online food and exercise log and a weekly newsletter.

“We are obviously very concerned about the overall health of our drivers and staff and feel that if we can provide the tools that they need to improve their overall health, then everyone wins,” said Mario Da Silva corporate risk manager at Challenger in a release. “When Healthy Trucker first approached us with this idea, we immediately knew we wanted to get involved.”

Marketing manager for Healthy Trucker, Aaron Lindsay added: “The sedentary lifestyle of O/O’s and drivers makes it difficult for them to stay healthy both on and off the road resulting with a lower than average mortality rate.”

“Challenger was instrumental in the development and tweaking of our program.”
